This year’s Echelon Malaysia, the second of its kind, features keynote speakers such as Joshua Slayton of AngelList, Khailee Ng of 500 Startups and Bay McLaughlin of Brinc.io. They will be speaking on scaling and growth, the startup landscape of Malaysia as well as the emergence of IoT trends in the country,
respectively.

At the same time, founders and organisations can showcase their solutions to over a thousand delegates as part of Tech Alley forming sustainable partnerships, generating leads, scaling opportunities and getting updates on the latest technology trends.

e27 aims to bring people together through structured networking sessions in Echelon Malaysia. Featuring Global Brain, Incubate Fund, Vertex Ventures, Maybank, Ardent Capital and CIMB just to name a few, selected startups will be given opportunities to pitch and raise funds from attending investors, scout for new talent and form partnerships with other entrepreneurs in attendance. At the same time, investors can seek their next venture, get macro-level insights from our speakers and build their funding portfolios.

While the tech scene Malaysia has been synonymous with just Kuala Lumpur so far, at Echelon Malaysia 2015, other active communities from around Malaysia will be
recognised as well. State delegations representing Penang, Johor Bahru and even East Malaysia’s ecosystem will be present at the event.

“We take pride in building one of the largest web tech and startup conference in Asia,” says Roy Ang, General Manager of e27, “If you want to be inspired, to connect and build relationship with more stakeholders from everywhere in Asia, Echelon is for you.”

It‘s the important things – family, our values, the impact we have on other people – that unite us. And although making sense of it all can be hard, asking the right questions can make things a little clearer.

With the aim to find best way forward in answering financial questions, the Swiss global company UBS has launched its first global brand campaign since 2009 today, reflecting the firm’s strategic transformation and future direction.

The brand campaign features portraits by Annie Leibovitz which is one of the famous American portrait photographers, focusing on entrepreneurs who embody specific questions.

A brand film with a series of questions asked in the voice of clients is also produced for this campaign.

The film consists only of text on a white background accompanied by Family of the Year’s hit song “Hero.”

In conjunction with the global brand campaign, UBS has announced a wider cultural partnership with Annie Leibovitz. The bank has commissioned a body of new work from the photographer, focusing on portraits of women who effect positive change. These and existing works will be shown at an international exhibition tour entitled “Women.”

The exhibition will launch in London in January 2016 and travel to 10 global cities over 12 months. Alongside the commissioned photography, UBS will present behind-the-scenes footage online offering glimpses of how the celebrated photographer works and gains insight into her subjects. Further details about the tour can be referred here.
